One of the best parts about staying at a cool Las Vegas hotel like Oasis at Gold Spike is its location to all the best bars and restaurants in the city. There has been a lot of action in recent news with new places opening and closing. Take a look at what’s gone and what’s to come.
Taking over Scullery charcuterie and cocktail bar on 150 North Las Vegas Boulevard is the video dance club Oddfellows from Austinite club owner Harvey Graham. The bar will feature different themed nights from 80s to Emo.
On Fremont East, Las Vegans say goodbye to video game club Insert Coin(s) after four years. It is still unknown what will take it’s place. Located across the street from Insert Coin(s) is Downtown Project’s Flippin’ Good Burgers serving up, well, burgers and shakes. And next door directly to that will be gastro pub, The Smashed Pig from Red Rock Casino’s Hachi husband and wife culinary team. Further east on Fremont, between Seventh and Eighth, is ViceVirtue amuse-bouche and cocktail bar inside the all purpose venue, The Venue of Vegas.
Even further East on Fremont, we are still awaiting Natalie Young of Eat’s new restaurant Chow. It is still unknown what is to happen with Bunkhouse, the beloved downtown music venue that reopened and closed again in just one year.
In the Arts District, British Pub Crown and Anchor is to replace Bar + Bistro in the arts factory. It will now be open 24/7. Duel concept on Casino Center Boulevard butcher shop and restaurant Harvest and Larder and The Grazing Pig is moving forward with construction.
