A Las Vegas Valentine’s Weekend (That Won’t Break the Bank)

Las Vegas Boulevard is sure to have sky high pricing for Valentine’s weekend. After all, Las Vegas is the marriage capital of the world.

While known for the ease in obtaining marriage licenses and vow renewals, Las Vegas jacks up hotel prices and other accommodations when an event or holiday shows on the calendar. If you’re looking to elope, renew your vows, or just get away for the weekend, Downtown Las Vegas offers plenty in the way of food, an affordable motel and sights to see that won’t cost a fortune.

Plan a Valentine’s Day Downtown Without Breaking the Bank

Eat breakfast or brunch with your loved one at Du-Pars at the Golden Gate Casino, known for “Best Pancakes in America” and their hand-peeled hashbrowns.

Take a breathless flight across the Fremont Street Experience as you Zipline the SlotZilla above the crowds. The Zipline costs $20 and starts riders at 77 feet up for a ride halfway down the Fremont Experience. But, the Zoomline is $40 and starts flyers at 114 feet in the air. They zoom down 1,750 feet all the way down to the end of the Fremont Experience. Reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour as you watch the crowds below you.

The Downtown Container Park, an open air shopping mall for boutiques, food and more is hosting a Valentine’s Day Wine Walk for only twenty dollars per ticket. Head down on February 14, at 3:00 p.m. to stroll with your loved one through the park as you sip a variety of wines (red, white and sparkling).

After you’re properly buzzed, choose from a variety of restaurants within the park. No matter your munchie preferences, enjoy hot dogs at Cheffini’s, BBQ at Big Ern’s, pizza and brownies at Stoned and Baked or sit down for more formal dining at Bin702 and The Perch.

Feeling spontaneous? Check out the Lucky Little Wedding Chapel, a new addition to Container Park’s unique business model. You can drink, dine, shop and get married all in one convenient location! Their Valentine’s Day special is priced at $214 and includes the ceremony, music, coordinator services, 14 professional digital photos, long stem roses and a minister.

Make it a Valentine’s Day in downtown Vegas you won’t soon forget.

Treat yourself to a not-so-hefty bill by moving your vacation away from the Strip towards Downtown Las Vegas at the Downtowner Motel. Centrally located, you won’t need a cab or even a bike to head to restaurants, bars, the Fremont Street Experience, shopping and more. Downtowner Motel rooms are available for Valentine’s weekend for under $100 a night. Visit our website to book your Valentine’s Day venture.
