On Saturday, December 5, join thousands of runners dressed as Santa lookalikes at the 2015 Las Vegas Great Santa Run. The 5k run and one-mile walk raises money for Opportunity Village, a local non-profit organization that provides services for special needs individuals.


Several local celebrities, including the dance crew Jabbawockeez, singer Wayne Newton, cast of Jersey Boys and the Chippendales agreed to perform and support the cause.


The race begins at Las Vegas Boulevard and Carson Avenue in Downtown Las Vegas and ends at Ogden between Third and Fourth Ave. Here’s a rundown of the agenda:


  • 7:30 a.m. – Pre-run programming begins at Third Street Stage. Event kicks off with music provided by DJ Mikey P, a Zumba warm-up and performances by additional Las Vegas entertainers.
  • 8:20 a.m. — Cast of JERSEY BOYS Las Vegas welcomes participants.
  • 8:35 a.m. —  Santa takes the stage.
  • 8:40 a.m. — Wayne Newton greets the racers; introduces the OV Elvi performance.
  • 8:50 a.m. — Jabbawockeez perform followed by additional Las Vegas entertainers.
  • 9:30 a.m. — JERSEY BOYS lead procession to the 5K starting line at Las Vegas Boulevard and Carson Avenue.
  • 10 a.m. — 5K runners take off upon JERSEY BOYS’ signal at Jamba Juice Start Line stage. The Chippendales lead next procession of one mile Kris Kringle Jingle walkers to starting line at Las Vegas Boulevard and Carson.
  • 10:30 a.m. — One-mile Kris Kringle Jingle walk begins upon Chippendale’s signal at Jamba Juice Start Line stage.
  • 10:30 a.m.  Post-race festivities. First racers cross finish line on Ogden between 3rd and 4th Avenues with an awards ceremony at Third Street Stage to follow.
