One Reason Why Oasis is One of the Best Hotels in Downtown Vegas
Oasis at Gold Spike is not a typical Las Vegas boutique hotel. Our connection with Gold Spike means our guests are right next door to Downtown’s greatest Wednesday night parties.
At 9 p.m., Gold Spike hosts PYT #RetroWednesdays, a free weekly-rotating throwback event. This allows Oasis to be one of the best hotels in Downtown Las Vegas for those who want more than just a place to sleep at night.
Hear sounds from DJ Hektor RawKerz for 80s Flashback on the first Monday of every month, followed by Bootie Vegas on the second Wednesday, featuring bootleg mashups of 80s favorites by DJ Duo, A Plus D.
The third Wednesday spot is owned by the returning roller-skating disco dance party, Down & Derby, with music by DJ SHR3D and SUPRA. Cocktails will be served in sippy cups so you don’t have to worry about spilling, and Down & Derby will provide the skates.
Taking over the fourth Wednesday of every month is local DJ, Lisa Pittman and Friends, presenting Time CapSoul, which features mixes of classic 80s and 90s hits created specifically for PYT #RetroWednesdays. Have the $9 “PB&J,” a PBR with a shot of Jameson.
Retro Wednesdays will continue throughout summer with DJ RawKerz filling in on the months with a fifth Wednesday.
Oasis is one of the best hotels near the Fremont Street Experience because of its connection to Downtown Las Vegas and its hottest local events.
